Teaching
Courses and workshops
Teaching in the lab follows the same principle as the research: a method is understood when one can state its assumptions, simulate what happens when they fail, and explain the result to someone else. Courses combine theory with hands-on analysis in R.
Courses
Longitudinal Data Analysis
Describing and modeling change: multilevel and latent growth models, intensive longitudinal data, and dynamic approaches, with hands-on analysis in R. The course site carries the syllabus, weekly schedule, datasets, and example scripts. [Chinese]
Psychological Testing
Foundations of psychological measurement: reliability, validity, item analysis, test construction, and evaluation. The course site carries the syllabus, weekly schedule, and assignment and exam guidelines. [Chinese]
Seminar in Psychometrics
Advanced topics in psychometric theory and latent variable modeling, with readings from current methodological journals.
Hierarchical Linear Modeling
Multilevel models for nested and longitudinal data: specification, estimation, interpretation, and reporting.
Psychological Testing: Practice and Application
Administration, scoring, interpretation, and professional use of tests.
Statistics for Psychology and Education I & II
Describing data, probability, estimation, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, regression, and categorical data analysis.
